I really liked this ride. The Phantoms Revenge is pretty cool, but i miss having the mix between a hypercoaster and a corkscrew coaster

I wish kennywood didnt take this one out. I rode it ten times once in one day (no lie!). It doesnt get much better than this. The first and second hills were downright scary, and the loops are awesome. After riding ten times I never got a headache. That is why they took it out and put in the Phantoms Revenge. This one should go down in the record books. (It would have if people didnt always complain about hitting their heads.)

Steel Phantom was not for everyone, but if your neck muscles could take it, it was one wild and disorienting ride. I understand Kennywoods decision, though Im sad they made it. Thankfully they kept the first two drops.

This is a hard coaster to review. The first part of the ride are great. The twisting drop off of the lift hill is fun and looks huge, but the second drop is the kicker… 200+ feet at 80 or so MPH. Then the fun stops and things get ugly. You hit the bottom of the main drop an are jerked to the left and up hill into a series of tight and intense inversions and loops. It is a case of taking too much, too quickly, and too fast. The first two rides were rough, but the third was a killer. This is the only coaster I believe I have ever blacked out on. I was praying for the ride to be over. This is the only coaster ride that ever forced me to leave a park (I had a headache for the rest of the day, and a neck ache for a week). Thankfully this coaster has been "reprofiled" or "rebuilt" as Phantoms Revenge. I have yet to ride its new incarnation, but I applaud Kennywood for keeping the best parts of the ride (the first two drops) and scrapping the rest. Explanation of the grade: 9 for the first half, 0 for the second half… averages to 4.5 and rounded up to 5. Recommendation: (rather pointless since this is now "defunct" and has been resurrected as Phantoms Revenge) Only for the real thrill seekers (and masochists may have liked it too).

Great ride. First two drops were great but the inversions were fun but very rough.

This is one of the fastest, most awesome, most intense coasters anyone could ride. Its second drop is prehaps the most unbelievable dropoff in the world. I cannot wait for Phantoms Revenge. However, part of me is upset that they are removing the loops.

A WORLD CLASS COASTER...1 OF THE BEST!!!!!!!

I thought it was a bit of a disappointment after the first 2 hills which were great.
