A really good ride, but not as good as the other two woodies in my opinion. The single track/ duel coaster is still great to marvel at.

This coaster boggles many minds because of the track layout, which is indeed awesome! Danny is right, slapping hands with people from the other train is fun. How about that big sign at the top of the hill with the skull that says "Do not stand" ahhaha!

This ride was not as fun as I expected. It just wasnt much of a thrill. Im not going to make it sound bad because it is a fine woodie, but... I have ridden better.

The one continous track thing sure freaks out the mind to think about. a classic design and good coaster history for me but of all the woodies there i prefer jackrabbit. I did also enjoy the entry for this ride almost a nine.

The Racer is a truly well designed racing coaster. John Miller was indeed a master of coaster design back in the day of coasters like this one! One of very few "mobius" coasters around, these two trains race on what is actually one track. I think its really cool that you always end up on the opposite side of where you boarded the train. The ride itself on the Racer is by no means intense, but it is still a ton of fun! The lift is around 75 feet and provides time to verbally taunt your opponents! The first drop is much smaller than the lift itself, and Im not even sure what the drop is (although, if this drop would be about the same as the lift I would give this a 10!) Once you drop, the real fun begins. Racers design includes several drops and three nice long turnarounds. For me, these turnarounds are the best parts of the ride. Provided that the start of the ride is even, all 3 turns give you the chance to handslap with riders of the other train - just great fun!! This coaster genuinely gives a racing feeling as the trains travel their course. There is one good pop of airtime on the final drop. Overall, a superb look and layout is complemented by a very good ride and decent speed. Kennywood does indeed take good care of this one! A coaster classic that is also an excellent starter coaster for the younger riders.

I didnt really like this ride, slow and unexciting. It only gets a six because of its great track design. I still dont know how they do that.

It was a fun ride, very tame, but still fun. I loved the fact that it raced and in the back car the last drop gives you a very surprising pop of air. Good solid ride.

Although the Racer is pretty tame, its still fun when you think of how old it is and because of the racing aspect.

What can I say? I just love classic wooden coasters like this one. The Racer is a lot of fun to ride, and the mobius layout is just great (just dont ask me how it works!) Somehow you end up on the opposite side of where you left. The ride itself may be a tad tame by todays standards, but it still has some nice drops and keeps up a good pace. The last drop is fantastic and gives tremendous airtime! And there actually is a "racing" feel to this coaster - its not just 2 coasters running out a set path side by side. You pull even, pull ahead, fall behind, catch up, its great stuff. Dont forget to slap hands!

This was my least favorite coaster while at Kennywood ... BUT it was till fun. The long track with (loading station in the middle) allowed for a nice twist with the train finishing on the opposite side from where it started (can really confuse you there for a while, even if you know its coming). The ride itself wasnt anything "special," but it was a good rush and a decent wooden coaster. Im giving it a couple extra points just because the track style alone GUARENTEES that the trains will always be raced and two trains will always be run (unlike TWISTED TWINS at SFKK or THE RACER at PKI which often dont run one side and, even when they do run both, often dont bother to put them in competition with one another).
