This was an awesome ride. The pretzel loop was simply amazing. I dont know what to say about it. The feeling of flying is incredible. The line for it wasnt long at all either, 25 min each time I went on it. I couldnt believe how great this ride was.

Well, the flying position is cool, and if you take a chance to just look around and notice that you are facing down, you kind of get a better experience. But the drop is nothin and the turns are cool, but just not intense. The best part, the pretzel loop. Simply amazing forces at the bottom. But yes, it is just too short, and I would definitely take Raging and Viper over it, but its still a great ride.

I actually loved this ride! I like it just a teeny weeny less than Raging bull, but this was one of the FUN coasters, not intense or anything, but was laughter inducing. The pretzel loop is dissorienting and fun, and the horseshoe type turns are an absolute blast. I would like to see more of these over the Vekoma fliers which are fun, but not as comfy.

This was my first flyer, so I didnt really know what to expect. First things first, facing downward was cool, but the position youre seated in really does not feel like flying at all. Youre really just sitting in a titled chair. Personally, I think laying down flat and facing down would feel much more like flying. I felt the position was rather uncomfortable too. The flying "experience" is totally over-hyped, and I would much rather prefer a B&M invert.

On to the ride. The height isnt too impressive, and the first drop is a standard B&M drop. But the pretzel loop is simply amazing, disorienting, and probably one of the most intense coaster elements ever. Entering it head first is really cool and the tremendous G forces at the bottom are amazing. From watching it and hearing reviews, the rest of the ride looked slow and force-less. Thankfully, it wasnt. The turns and roll were all really fun, but then its over.. all too quickly. Sure, its about the same length (time-wise) as Batman: The Ride, but Batman just feels more satisfying because you do so much more in that time. Superman: Ultimate Flight barely does anything, and its more of a one-trick pony other than the pretzel loop. The way, say, Alpengeist or Raptor feel after theyve exited the mid-course break run, halfway through the ride, is what ALL of Superman: Ultimate Flight feels like. Thats because, basically, it is half a coaster. They couldve had a much larger first half, with the existing stuff (minus the lift) being the second half. It earns a 7/10 for the pretzel loop alone, but the rest leaves much to be desired. On a side note, I like the landscaping SFGAm put in, and Im glad they did. However, the zig-zag queue area sucks and is not big enough to hold the crowds it gets. A one hour line appears to be huge because the line extends out of it into the midway.

A ton of fun. The hill is scary and the dive going into the pretzel loop is great. It wasnt as good as I thought it would be, but still really good.

this rides wait on average is 1 hour-1 hour and a half, in my opinion i would rather gop on raging bull 3 times then this ride once, this ride just did not give me the flying sensation at all

The thing about this ride is that it doesnt claim to be anything its not. All along it has been hyped for its feeling of flying, and the pretzel loop. They never claimed it was gonna knock your socks off all the way through, with one amazing element after another. The pretzel loop is the most amazing element in any roller coaster, and even the first drop is spectacular. You get a whole new feeling of speed when you are in the "flying" position. Its amazing, and the in-line twist at the end was pretty cool. I am in no way dissapointed with this ride, and even though I had high expectations going in, when I left the ride, all I could do was stagger away in awe at what I had just been on.

Ok....Afetr waiting for a while i finally got on. I was definatley not disappointed. from the start when u and ur feet r straped in, the ride is awesome. in the station u r brought to a flying poistion and u start to go up the chain lift. Before u know it u feel like superman flying in the sky. U go down and then up again. Before u know it, u see a pretzel loop. The best invention ever. The pretzel loop makes the ride have a totally new dimenson and u Rent upside down at the top...but at the bopttom. Next the barrel roll is unbelieveable. This ride is amazing, sure the makers of this ride could have added more, but its fun as anything else in the world.

That was friggin awesome! Make sure you sit in the back row, because it is much more intense. From the drop to the pretzel loop, I thought to myself its the best ride ever created! The pretzel loop was so cool, and dissorienting. When you get to the the top of the pretzel loop, you then dive down like a pilot and end up right where you were again. Excellent work, B&M! But, I judged too early. After that the ride is somewhat slow, and doesnt feel like flying, until you get to the in-line roll. That part was incredible. Another dissappointment was that it felt too short. Other that that, spectacular ride.

Superman is probably the most unique experience at Great America. The back row is the way to go if youre going to ride this. At the bottom of the pretzel loop, it feels like theres a fat man sitting on you. The turns right after it are just breathtaking because you get a real sensation of flying. The inline twist finale is incredible. The only place you get to relax is in the brake run where you hang for around 30 seconds. As you exit the ride, youre probably going to want to ride again. This is definitely a must-ride.
