This is a classic. Ilove it when parks keep and maintain good old rides like this one. We had this one at Pontchartrain Beach, and for some reason before the park closed they reprofiled the Calypso and made a mediochre ride out of what it once was. So, when I saw this one at Cedar Point it was like reuniting with an old friend.

its okay. it will get beyond boring after riding it twice though.

I used to really like this one but it has definately lost something in the moves through the park. After a second ride i felt I needed to lower my rating. I agree CP needs newer flats like Maxair, however I love seeing the older rides even if I no longer care for this one.

A good spining ride that reminded my of Fiddlers Fling at SFGam.

if everyone else is rating this ride good, ill buy it. but i cant seem to stomach these rides

Calipso is a great, fun, spinnie ride thats prfect for the whole family.This is such a neat ride and it is so rare these days.I think it is even better than the regular scrambler.I think its great that Cedar Point is trying to keep this ride open and in good shape.Of course,when Cedar point had more time for little flat rides like these,it was even better.The little cars even had little canopy roofs on top them for extra theming.The ride also moved three times through the park & every time it moved,there was a little less theming, probably because it was hard enough to move the ride.I think the best way to ride this ride is to stretch out along the bech-like seat(unless you are rideing with a partner)because the securety on this ride is not strict.All you have to do is, "Fasten your seatbelt, keep your hands an legs in the vehicle at al times, AND ENJOY YOUR RIDE!"

This ride is cool! Cedarpoint is lacking flat rides, and im glad its here. You go for a long time, and its fun to go on with someone, especailly if someone takes pictures of you on it.

What a ride! I have always been a big fan of these Calypso rides, and this one is no exception. I rode it at about 10:30 PM and there was no line, so I rode a few times without having to get off. Calypso has some really great lateral g-forces too.

This ride had me pressed against the side of cart thing from the force and I slid across the seat alot. It hurts your hips banging but basically its a fun spin-n-puke ride. No lines and next to Blue Streak and seems out of place but its still great fun.

This ride is fun but it gave me the worlds largest sinus headache!!!
