This ride is really fun. The idea of a wooden structure with a tubular steel track gives this a deception element. I got on this ride with expectations of a sluggish rattling ride. I got exactly the opposite. This was a smooth speedy ride. I guess I just didnt see the height of this ride as anything significant with all of the monsters that are in the coaster collection of Cedar Point. This ride falls into the background. Well, its first hill and subsequent elements were all great. My favorite part are the head choppers that I just cant keep myself from ducking from and lowering my arms. The only downfall is that I dont think they ever run both tracks anymore which I think would be a fun element. Otherwise, this is a gem of a coaster and I call a cant miss.
This ride is so fun. Build more of these, Arrow. I think Arrow quite, though. (sad)
I loved Gemini! The whole rides a lot of fun. Its also so smooth considering it was built back in 1978. The first drop was fast, big, & pretty steep. All of the hills had some great air to them & the whole racing aspect was just pure gold. Its definitely one classic racer that you dont want to pass up the chance to ride when youre at CP. Geminis my 2nd favorite racer (only behind HPs LR).
Awesome awesome awesome ride! So smooth. Especially when its 27-years-old. The head-choppers on this thing are amazing. I didnt know theyd be that close. You really cant put your hands up on those parts. Major air on this ride too. I didnt have my lap bar placed all the way on my lap, so I got a ton of air! And the helix at the end is super fast and super intense. A little rough, but smooth as always. And the whole racing part is so much fun. Especially on the curves where we pass by each other when you can cheer on your colors, or talk smack. There is also never a line. Each time I went on, it was a walk-on. They even had to close down the blue train because no one was going on it. I dont understand why no one likes it. I think its awesome!
I was not very impressed with my back seat ride on Gemini... it felt rough. However, a ride in the 3rd seat made up for that. Toward the front of the train, this is a fun coaster.
Great ride, really underrated. Good first drop, airtime, and headchoppers. The fact that it races also raises the score for me. By the way, the ending is the best part; just when you think its over, the helix rages the train into the brakes. Such a great way to cap off the most underrated ride at Cedar Point.
Alright, now this is a unique ride b/c of its combination of wood and steel. I cant even remember the train I rode, but we lost after having the lead the whole race. I like the height, but I find it hard to believe that it was a world record at the time. Nice hills and turns, especially the final run back into the station. Incredibly smooth. A must-ride for the family. Nice starter coaster as well.
Gemeni is rather unique, as it is basically an oversized mine train. It has some great (and steep) drops with some pretty convincing headchoppers. Im not a fan of the trim brakes that have been placed on the ride, the trains barley make it into the station now. At least the brakes arent as bad as on Mean Streak.
Great in its day. Great now! Fun going around the first turn with the other train beside you. Can you say give me five?
The ride itself is nothing special, however the racing aspect of the ride earns it an extra point. So much fun racing against my friend, with trash talking and whatnot. As soon as we left CP, we began the trash talking for the next round of races, to be held this summer. Only on pay-per-view. *shifty eyes* Oh, and Im going to whoop her something fierce.
