The Super Slide was a sub-par carnival slide. Surrounded by trees, the Super Slide has a pink paint job and is no different than the standard slides found at carnivals. I rode Super Slide this year and overall wasnt impressed. What easily could have been a shorter wait was around 10 minutes due to only 2 of the 3 lanes being opened for how long it took for the ride attendant to let people onto the slide. After I made the trek to the top and laid out my mat (which was filled with holes and rather small), I pushed myself forwards and wasnt impressed. The slide obviously hadnt been waxed since the rain from the previous night and my ride suffered. My mat slowly crawled down the slide and I actually had to push myself forwards to prevent the mat from stopping halfway through. I had no sensations whatsoever on the Super Slide. Hopefully next time I visit Yorks the Super Slide will be waxed and my overall experience will be better on this slide.

Ah, the slide. What a simple, yet so incredibly entertaining thing, especially for kids. Despite being one of the simplest attractions amusement parks offer, often times they are one of the most popular, as it is with York’s. While everything else typically has no wait at all, this generally has a modest wait of about 5 minutes, the longest of anything in the park. Well, it’s pretty much due to the attraction’s popularity among kids, as they can’t get enough of this slide, as they run right back in line usually immediately after their ride. So is it worth the wait for adults? Not really.

I will say this though that the park takes pretty good care of their slide. Sporting a vibrant, hot pink paint job, the slide seems to be in great shape, which should be the case since its one of the park’s newest attractions, replacing the park’s older, inflatable slide. And I will say that this is definitely an upgrade over the original slide for sure.

Really my enjoyment of these carnival slides is dependent on the sheer speed I can attain, which generally is dependent on whether or not the park has recently waxed their slide. This one is a fairly mediocre slide in my opinion even despite the park’s frequent waxing of it. For some reason no real speed is ever achieved leading to the humps on the way down being rather tame and not intense at all.

York’s Super Slide is a mediocre version of a really simple attraction. While it does look great and is popular amongst kids, it really isn’t all that good in my opinion thanks to the slow speed achieved on the way down. Really this is a passable attraction during your visit to York’s since it’s nothing special like some of their other attractions.

Wow, they even let us go head first. Good speed, fast line. I approve!

Far better then I expected. From looking at it you would thing it stinks but the triple dive is allot of fun. You get a great sensation of G’s each time it levels out and you drop quicker then you might expect.
