The trim brake on the first hill practically stops the train and kills any potential this coaster has. Although I didnt find Mean Streak rough, it was uneventfaul and lacked air. It didnt have that out-of-control feeling woodies are suppose to have.

The square wheels remarks are funny as when we got off, I made comments I thought they were oblong. I kept wishing for the ride to end so I could no longer bash my knee into the fiberglass seat in front of me. This ride must be trying to recreate the feeling of being in an Amtrak train as it derails. Keep the aspirin handy as this ride will shake your sense into the person two rows ahead of you. American Eagle in Illinois is rough but not painfully so like this freakin ride. I would never get on this again unless they figured out how to smooth out the track. If you are thinking about a career in boxing, ride this twice and if you are still lucid, call Don King because you are indestructable

I dont see why people comment saying "oh, this is so rough" and stuff like that. This is probably my 3rd favorite woodie next to Pheonix and Comet. I love the drop, and the ride time is very long. I pretty much love every CP coaster.

Awful. I cannot stress this enough. Hurts terribly. The trims cause the trains to go so slow that you wonder if you will make it up the hills. No airtime, all roughness, horrible profiling on the hills.

Someone probably lost their job for allowing this ride to be built. Never ride this.

i liked this coaster but it wasnt great. i liked the short lines tho! i hate the brake trim at the 1st drop. it was very rough too. it would be awsome if it was more smooth.

I kept my expectations low for this coaster, seeing that it has disappointed many others who have ridden it. Still, it was very disappointing. The first drop has got to be the worst first drop on any wooden coaster--the trim brakes slow it down way too much. The rest of the ride was long and very boring, with little g-forces and almost no airtime at all. I would rather ride a rough coaster than a boring one. Gets an extra couple points for being extraordinarily beautiful.

I was very dissapointed at this ride. The ride was quite ruff and the track was little too long. The ruff ride and the length of this coaster kept me asking myself...where is the station?

I really wanted to love this ride. The massive and beautiful structure make it look so good. The ride itself is different. There are trims on the first drop itself which completely slow down the whole ride. By the time you get to the end of the course into the final brakes, the train has just a little bit of momentum. Slow and overly braked is the overall view here.

Mean Streak....thats almost putting it too nicely. the sheer size and massive structure of this ride lead me to believe that it would be a great ride, and I really wanted it to be. I mean, if you could base this ride off of looks, it could be the best woodie ever made. But then, of course....you actually ride it. Thats where any hopes of this ride being marginally fun go out the window. I swear, the LIFT HILL was painful. But that was only the start. I mean, I didnt think rides were allowed to use square tires. The ride is so bumpy, I was actually getting sick, and I have NEVER gotten sick on a ride before. It felt like my kidneys were being beaten on by Mike Tyson. I swear, people who get seizures dont shake this much. Even massochists would find this ride brutal. I wanted so badly to like this ride, but alas, it was not to be. Avoid the Mean Streak at all costs.
