This isnt much of a review, but I dont see why so many people have to insult a good(not great) coaster. I mean really, it gets the second worst ratings out of all the things at cedar point. That isnt right.

If it werent for the ride through the woods in the dark and the tunnels, this would be the Beasts equal or better. As it is, this is the 3rd best woody Ive rode, right behind the Beast and its son.

People must think im crazy because this is my second favorite ride. I dont care how rough or how squeaky people say the brakes are, this ride is awesome! Its so much fun when you get that stomach feeling, or when you have no clue where your going to go next! Unlike other rides, like Dragster, this ride provides thrills for a long time and is so much fun. This is definately my favorite wooden coaster.

I should give it a one but i remember riding it 2 weeks after it opened. It used to be soo much better. The brakes on it just suck. Im sure some people complained about it being to rough but at least you got some thrill out of getting beat up. Its still rough and the speed is gone. I wish some people would just ride a ride and if they think its rough just dont ride again. Instead some people think it is their job to police the world. By that I dont mean posting like on this site I mean complaining to the park. As this website proves what is rough to one is not rough to all. Edit actually rode again for the first time in years and found it to be funny. the ride is so trimmed in parts I was completely turned around talking to my sister. It is still a shell of its former self, but at least I found something redeeming this time.

It looks so great from the outside. The ride is dissapointing. Its just ok, but you think you deserve better. I didnt find it overly rough.

I dont know why everybody puts this coaster down, the way people talk about it you would think its the worst coaster in existence. I happen to like it. First of all it has a great layout. And the best part is that its a long ride which is rare. I have never had a horrible experience on Mean Streak. Yes its not an increadilby smooth coaster, but its a woodie for crying out loud. I usually sit towards the front and have no problem. The trim break does start it out slow but it picks up momentum pretty quickly. The only reason I can think of why this coaster gets a bad rap is because it happens to be surrounded by some of the best coasters in the world. The mean streak in my opinion is a good coaster and not nearly as rough as the boss at SFSTL which a lot of people like.

I agree with everyone saying that this coaster is a stunning peice to look at. And the ride still has one of the tallest drops on any wooden coaster in the world. I believe its number three behind Son of Beast and The Beast but dont quote me on it. thanx chetcoasta. I think the ride is rather good. I love how long it is and the roughness of the wood. I believe that the ride could have been a lot faster even though it already is around 60 mph and that is suppose to be very fast for a woody but people are right and its hard to feel the speed when you are watching the brake controlling the drop. Its one of the best woodys ive been on as well. The line wasnt to bad either about a 45 minute brake. The best thing you should do on the ride is hold the lap restrait out well so you can really fly around and get your butt kicked on the ride. Oh yes, it is well worth it, just ask me and a few buddys of mine. Its probably illegal in the park of course but hey anything to make the ride better right? Mean Streak deserves an 8 for the great layout, massive beauty, and long pacing ride that it provides you. A true engineering marvel.

It is an ok ride at best. It has the wonderful length and this is one of the must visually stunning coasters in existance, but man it just is a plain bore. We rode in the back hoping for a little airtime, and we got one good pop during the double down, but other than that it was dull. Layout is great but it goes through it at a near crawl and is bumpy.

I didnt find the ride as painful as others. Found it rough but not out of control. A good woodie should be both however this should be a speed monster and it isnt.

Spectacular! this ride is a true world-class taste of CPs greatness.I dont get why people make cracks about it having square wheels.:nono:
