You hang on the first drop wondering if the brake will ever let go. It then struggles up to what should be a fast fan turn, but instead you wonder if the the train will make it to the top at all. You acutally go around this banked turn so slow that you slide to the inside of the turn. It then picks up some speed and is fun for a few seconds until it gets to rough to be any fun. This could be a great ride with some reprofiling and retracking. If they have to have trim braking, 2 or 3 trims scattered around would be better than the big one on the first hill.
This ride is huge.
And just look at it.
Its a work of art
I think maybe 5 people like Mean Streak. And I am 1 of them. Sure the trim brakes are terrible, but the ride is fun anyway. I like getting my butt kicked (as long as it is not my head I am fine), and this coaster kicks it. For people who say it is too rough, go ride Jr. Gemini.
Grade: 9/10
Cool ride. Has some nice drops but the roughness does give it a lower rating for me.
WoW what an awful ride...It looks cool but rides like crap. Because of all the brakes it seems to crawl around the track. Also its rough and well just boring. Neat to look at but not really worth the ride.
a beautiful ride to look at and was a great coaster in 1991, now is very rough and overbraked.
This is a cool coaster because of its immense size. However, I do agree that the braking does detract from the experience. However, the first big drops are cool, and I like the twisting through the wood in the second half of the ride. It is also a bit too rough. They need to reinforce some of the rough track and ease up on the braking. Visually, this is one of the most beautiful coasters in the world, and even with the braking still a fun ride.
DONT BE SUCH PANSIES ITS MORE FUN WHEN U GET THROWN AROUND!
I think I lost on kidney somewhere on this ride Rougher than sandpaper
