its kinda rough but a short wait soo its good. it was a lot better before they added the trim break to the first drop!

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too rough and the breaks are deafaning. NOT FUN

Average ride. To slow

Great to look at, not bad to ride. but it would be way better if they took out all the trim brakes. this is a good example of how knowledge-lacking people complaining about roughness can cause the park to add trims and ruin the ride. i think if someone views a ride as rough, they should just not ride it and keep their mouths shut so that people that dont mind a little roughness can enjoy the ride at its greatest. mean streak is barely even rough, so i dont know what people are complaining about that for. dont get me wrong, its still a fun coaster to ride, but just think...if there were no trims, mean streak would easily be among the worlds greatest woodies

This ride has a title the kind of fits it, Mean Streak, except there is more than a streak, this ride is all together mean. It is just brutal on the body. The only reason it is a 2 is becuz of its impressive lay out which is destroyed by brakes and roughness. I guess every park has to have one flaw, and this is where CPs lies.

When they decided to call this ride mean streak they didnt know at the time how on the nose the name was.

What a disappointment! beautiful from the air as we flew in, (yes CP has an onsite strip and free tiedowns )But this thing hasnt had any serious maintenance in years. Ive ridden bbeter maintained traveling carnival coasters. Some one in CP management should lose his or her job over this fiasco. Millions of dollars in assets basically rotting away. the trains were in horrible shape, some actually roped off. the wheels felt square, like rolling thunder at great adventure. and the brakes?? makes you wonder why tehy are afraid of this thing going fast. Recdomment that you skip it unless youre keeping a list. and if you are, complain to the park amnagement about it. They wont fix it if we dont let tehm know how bad it really is.

it would be a great coaster if they didnt put brakes everywhere to slow it down!

It saddens me to give this beautiful coaster such a low ranking, but the ride continue to deteriorate. I rode MS last Thursday (8/2)after it finally opened in the evening. The ride was shut down for most of the day for repairs. They ran three trains, but in each train they had several seats roped off because they were broken. I rode with my brother in the front seat around 9pm. As the train entered the lift, we hopped a couple of times and felt as if our car was off the track. The same thing happened at the top of the hill: a couple of bounces as the car appears to want to hop the tracks. The first drop is slowed by the break run, which is the cheap way CP has tried to stop the roughness of the ride from the past. After we went down the first drop, the ride became worse. I really felt unsafe on the ride, and so did my brother. Every turn the wheels would screech and hop, as if the coaster didnt want to follow the track and derail. My brother and I both felt as if the train was falling apart. After the turns, the train would speed up slightly but then slow way down so it feels like you are hardly moving. I will not ride MS again until CP either retracks the ride or redesigns it. I would give it a 4, but because the ride seems to be falling apart, I give it a 3.

OUCH! the roughness just killed the ride. i rode this 2 years ago and again yesterday and i had to change this review. how can an awesome looking coaster feel so bad? my back hurt after getting off. no wonder there was just a 5 minute wait. the speed and the banks are the only good things about this ride.
