The first time i rode this ride i loved it. The ride was nice and long with good speed. But the second time i rode it i thought i was going to die! The drop just pretty much almost stopped in the middle. It was soo bumpy and i hated it. The ride looks really cool and looks huge. I was dissapointed with the second ride.

I thought the ride was great! I rode it 3 times in a row. Love it! THe breaks in the beginning make sense so it doesnt have too many Gs. Just the best woody ive been on.

Mean Streak sure lives up to its name as it is one of the worst and roughest coasters Ive ever been on. The big problem really isnt the pain though. Its that the ride is so boring since the park doesnt seem to care about the coaster and brakes it so much. Im really scared theyre going to do something bad to Ghostrider and Shivering Timbers, so I hope Cedar Fair just leaves them alone and doesnt turn another masterpiece into a pile of future fire wood. I usually love wooden coasters, but the park has no excuse for how bad this one is even though its beautiful to look at. Horribly overrated by "Pointers" even though I know some are disappointed as well. A brake on this first drop of this and Mantis just dont cut it.

The Mean Streak is one of the best coasters at Cedar Point. Do you expect a smooth ride with "mean" in the name? The roughness is part of the thrill. If you cant make fun out of it, even if it causes you a wittle headache or backy-wacky-pain, dont ride it. Its long, tall, fast, intense, and overall fantastic.

A big letdown. What the heck is with the trim brakes on the first drop.

For years, I had looked at pictures of the Mean Streak and salivated over the possibility of riding it. Its twisted path and massive size looked very intriguing. Then I rode it. I know that wooden coasters are supposed to rattle your bones, but this was ridiculous--Mean Streak beat the everloving s#&t out of me. It continually wrenched my back and neck. It was like the roller coaster gods were reaching down from the heavens to spasmodically shake the whole thing, pummeling all of the riders. Im afraid that I have to concur with other critics that this ride should be retracked, but I think its only salvation would be to do so with tubular steel rails. Mean Strek offers a very well-conceived path through its twisting, turning structure. Its possible that it just doesnt lend itself to wooden and steel rails. It would be worth the investment, however, to turn this into a popular ride and at least save it as a quasi-woody.

Extrememly disappointing for such a mammoth size wooden coaster, but the braking has made the rides course progressively boring over the years. The latter part of the coaster is fairly rough and can really irritate your back sometimes. Overall, better than Hercules, but needs a lot of wood. If its going to be rough at least make it fast, fun, and intense like Son of Beast. I really dont want this masterpiece to sit there with fewer and fewer riders every year. The structure is beautiful to look at and the front seat probably delivers the roughest ride. Im glad a lot of people still enjoy it though for what it is.

The worst coaster I ever rode on. I think they put square wheels on the train. The only thing going for it is its looks, and this proves looks are deceiving. Brakes, high frequency vibration and no thrills. Any designers out there should learn a lesson - bigger, faster (till they put the brakes on them to keep from self-destructing) and higher does not seem to work with woodies. GCI could create three Wildcats with the lumber from this monster and give you a ride you wouldnt forget.

5 is about right, because its not as much of a bgi wooden failure as Hercules, but its just really tall but thats about it. If youre at CP ride it once, becasue theres no reason not to, but then go ride good old Blue Streak and enjoy a fun woodie.

Looks much better than it is which is a cause of disappointment for many. Can you believe this was #16 in amusement today a few years ago? The queue line is great. The station is wonderfull. To bad it is so slow. My main complaint is the brakes on the drop. I do enjoy traveling through the structure and it is a long ride. I like long rides. I hope CP alters this ride again to try to make it more fun.
