A nice invert, but not on par with Montu. Nice inversions and turns, but too fast without the MCBR activated worth anything. The result is that you slam on the final brakes, which creams your head. Nice ride, but turn on those MCBRs!
Totally awesome ride, with the fast moving line and the disorenting inversions. Ive ridden Montu about 100 times and I thought this was bettter, although maybe because its something different...I dont know. anyways I liked the green color and the cobra roll, which montu doesnt have. only gripe I have is that I experienced some headbanging in the cobra roll and at the end, but all in all a great ride.
My first time on this ride I was kinda scared because my harness came loose but other than that this coaster rocks!!!!!!!!!
Just awesome... Raptor benefits from having a good crew at CP which means waiting in line isnt excruciatingly long. This coaster in my opinion is a perfect startup for anyone because the ride is smooth. One of the 10 best in the country right now.
Montu is better, but this is right up there with the best inverts anywhere. the ride is long and intense.
A great ride. The first drop is great and I loved the helix that was close to the end. When I went it was raining and I was getting pelted by the rain drops! But I still loved the ride.
Excellent, my first B&M and every bit as great as people have been saying! The zer-g was probly my favorite part and the corkscrews were awesome! It was nice and smooth with just a little jolt before the final breaks! Loved it and was one of my favorite rides ever!
By giving this ride an 8 I am saying that it is a good inverted coaster. Nothing less, nothing more. However, I expected to be giving this ride a 10. I did not enjoy this ride as much as some other inverts. The first drop and the loop right after were fine, and the inline twist was my favorite part of the ride. After that I thought that it had some problems. It took the cobra roll too fast I thought. The MCBR was pointless. If its hardly going to apply brakes at all, why even have it? The corkscrews were kind of nice and the last helix gave some nice Gs. My main problem with the ride was the very end. It really stopped very short at the end and created a lot of headbanging. It wasnt just me, as many other people said the same thing. Maybe it was because I sat near the back? This ride is a good layout though and in the greatest park in the world, so Im giving it an 8. Its not nearly the coaster that Montu was though.
I love this ride. Its on my top 10 list. The best coaster of its kind.
A very very good inverted coaster. The pacing is amazing, especially when they turn the trim brakes off. Raptor remains the only ride I can truly recall having a slight grey out at the exit of the vertical loop. Thats a true sign of this rides power. On top of that, the first drop is easily the best drop on any inverted coaster Ive ever been on. From the first drop to the end of the cobra roll is one of the best stretches of any coaster Ive ever experienced. Raptor is a great ride and isnt truly experienced unless you are riding in the front seat (even if that means waiting 1 1/2 hours) .
