This is yet another example of a ride that really benefits from the demonic ride ops of Coney Island. Most times I come off a power surge completely disappointed because the ride just seems so tame while on it; whereas on the ground it looks incredibly intense. However, as I said earlier, Coney Island dished out a ride cycle that lasted over 3 minutes consistantly, easily double that experienced on other power surges. Even still, these just arent the most thrilling of rides out there due to how slowly the flips are performed. Also, most of the ride is relatively forceless. Still, Astrolands ops turned one of the most disappointing rides for me into a fairly respectable ride.
Excellent power surge and the best Ive been on by far. The cycle blew all of the other ones Ive been on away as it lasted a little under 5 minutes. Also, the base rotated and I got tons of flips, which caused a very disorienting and thrilling ride.
An average flipper ride, nothing that got me excited or anything. Its not as intense as it looks (probably a good thing), but it also isnt as much fun as it looks. They run it long at Astroland but only one direction.
A decent ride. I was a little disappointed that they did not reverse the spin direction before letting you off.
This ride was a lot of fun! Its pretty thrilling but I would have enjoyed it more had the restraints seemed more secure. My weight kept pressing against them and I felt like I would push them off any minute and fall however many feet to my death. But maybe thats part of the fun of this ride.
