The big loop and the dive loop were great, and it was a 9 up to the inclined loop, then the rest just didnt appeal to me. But, I do like stand up corkscrews more than any others.
My first stand-up and my favorite stand-up. Mantis is a fun ride with memorable points along the way.
Its a B&M stand-up. Do you even have to ask? Killer inversions and the ending is twisted and disorienting as anything. Waits can get a bit long but its a great ride.
The first drop was below my expectations and the loops not to amazing. But the dive loop adds to the ride and it looks cool.
Really suprised me last time. Why does everyone hate it?
The layout is incredible to look at, and the twiter section was cleverly designed. I dont like the stand up trains, so ill give it a nine.
mantis,is good.it got me dizzy,but it was good.i dont think its wroth a wait over 30 min,so if your waiting pass 30 min,get out the line and ride miilennium force.
This coaster looks very impressive. Even though Millennium Force is right there, Mantis towers over Iron Dragon. The year when it first opened, I thought Raptor was better by just a thread. However, in 1997, they added that damn trim brake on the drop! I did not find Mantis to be rough at all in 1996. When I first saw the brake, I said, "THEY MEAN STREAKED MANTIS!" Im sorry, but that drop aint that great anymore. This is my favorite stand up coaster, but that doesnt make this ride 10 worthy. The only credit I give that trim is that one gets hang time on the loop. Other than that, the trim brake sucks. Other than that huge problem, the rest of the ride is good. Not excellent, but good. Also, this coaster needs a paint job. But thats a whole other story.
AHHH B&m!! niccccceee! This ride was a great Standup, nice speed but I hate that trim on the drop! VERY ANNOYING! Why did CP do this?? If they keep that up they might just Mean Streak it. Otherwise nice Height verry smooth as expected from B&m. for the trim Ill have to give it a nine though.
it is the best stand-up coaster in the world, and is in the same park as the best invert in the world.
