This was a big surprise for me. The only arrow I had ever been on and liked before was sidewinder. I thought this would be just as bad as any other old arrow. But it wasnt! The wait was only 5 minutes for the very front car. I guess it was because they had all the trains running. Loch Ness Monster is without a doubt deserving of some kind of coaster classic status. It is the only ride left with interlocking loops. This ride is incredible! The first drop is a doozy - its surprisingly good! And the tunnel! Oh my God! I thought we were never gonna stop spinning. Also, a friend of mine had me look up during the loops - you really get the full effect of the inversion. I was quite taken with the outside queue area and the huge Loch Ness Monster shrub that graces the front of the station. The inside of the station is really cheesy though! The ride ops were very nice on this ride and asked every person on the train if they were comfortable and if they were having any problems. And the thing that really helped this rating was how smooth it was. Alpengeist was about as smooth! LOL My biggest complaint was the bad station. Why put such hard work into detail when the station looks bad? I also would have liked to see the trains go through the loop at the same time and a longer second half. Oh well. This is still a great coaster.

Loch Ness Monster is a goregous ride, and its alot of fun too. The first drop is one of the best that Ive encountered as it goes right down to the water, and its also quite steep. The loops are high, but not intense. The rides selling point is the very long, very dark, tunneled helix. Its just so awesome, and its hard to tell when it will end. However, the ride gets a 7 due to the two lift hills, a short second half, and very uncomfortable restraints.

I put an 8, but it is actually closer to a 9...this ride is a classic and I love older coasters that seem like they can barely make it up the chainlift, lol The trees, the plunge towards the Rhine River, and the tunnel all make for a good-for-your-soul kinda ride. Its not the most thrilling ride, but its a feel-good ride...thats pretty much the only way I can describe it

probobly my favorite ride at busch gardens wmsbg. The first drop is amazeing, the loops are fun and the tunnel is very long and dark! The theming in the que line is amazeing and waiting times are usually on the short side unless you are visiting during spring break or summer.

APPEARANCE-8 The natural beauty of the ravine is great and the ride looks pretty well kept. You can tell by looking at the older rides why this park receives such acclaim for its beauty. CAPACITY-7 Good but not great slightly better then BBW. RIDE QUALITY-7 Little better then a lot of traditional loopers, but the restraints just suck if you are taller then about 5 foot 8. FUN-7 For me I really liked the drop in the ravine and the tunnel was really nice, also the looping structure was very unique. RERIDE-8 Not a sure thing when it comes to a reride, but very close. OVERALL-37 AVG-7.4 A perfect example of why sometimes I would like a half point scale. I am going to go seven because it just doesnt have that 8 feel.

This was probably the suprise of my trip. Nessie was actually fairly smooth with minimal headbanging, mostly just a bit coming out of the loops. The first drop into the ravine was cool, and though the ops did not coordinate the trains, the interlocking loops still created a nice effect even if all you saw was steel. The 900 degree-or-so helix was fun, especially since it was taken in a cave where you didnt know if you would ever stop spinning. Riding up front gave an excellent ride, while even the back wasnt too bad. The ride was about all you can ask of an Arrow looper: intense, one of the smoothest (not bad considering it has 20 years on Tennessee Tornado, which is the only one that I have ridden that was smoother), and an overall fun ride. Though I was not inclined to take more than two rides, I feel safe calling this my favorite Arrow looper to date, worthy of an 8.

I dont know why exactly, but I like this arrow looper. Its in a beutiful setting, and is realtively smooth compared to other arrows. The helix is extrmely long and dark, and was a nice touch to the ride.

I rode in both the front and the back. By todays standards LMN doesnt look like much but still holds its own. Minimal headbanging if you force yourself to keep your head back and I even got a little bit of in the last car on the two drops. The length of the helix and is great and on a sunny day you cant see a thing when you first enter.

The Loch Ness Monster was my first coaster ever. Every time I go to BG, It is the very first thing I do. Only reason I dont give it a ten is, It seems that I have outgrown the trains! The shoulder restraints seem really short and cause me pain now. Also, the Monster in the corkscrew no longer lights up! Its just a corkscrew thats way too long now! But its still fun to hear all the peeps screamin inside it! This is my second favorite Arrow Looper...Drachen Fire being the first by a long shot! I miss ya buddy! R.I.P.

The ride was great! you climb up the lift hill slowely, getting your composure and listening to the chains clank you up. the you trun around at the top of the hill and the fall, fall into one of the best inverting coaster hills I have ever ridden! Then whoosh, you go through an amazing set-up, the climax being going through the interlocking loops. My one and only gripe is that the helix through the tunnel is very, very, very, very, very long, too long for my opinion. But a definate must ride.
