I love this coaster. While riding I have noticed that in certain seats the harness tighten from the gs on the first drop! It is so smooth. Very comfortable. It is like a car seat for adults. Has great theming and some good "foot chopper" effects for front seat riders. Simply amazing. A work of art! Still B&Ms best inverted coaster.
This ride is really fun.. The first drop is very fast and the immelman couldnt be any smoother...the cobra roll is very rough though if you are sitting close to the back...do urself a favor and sit in the front..I just think I like Raptor a hair better mayb its jus cuz ive ridden it more
This ride was is SO much fun. The first drop is awesome and all the inversions are great. This ride has great themeing. A must ride for coaster fanatics.
The ride itself is great, But its pretty much inversion after inversion, Its definately intense cause of its hight and steep drop banked while turning, The ride is awesome up in the Mountains and over water and over the car ride, through the forest, It all equals up to make a pretty good thrill. I especially like the theming on this ride.
Alpengeist is the best coaster I have ever been on !!!!!! Its sooooo awesome. It has everything a good coaster should have. The seats are super comfortable, I love it when your feet are "free", its fast, pretty long, and its just fun.
Flying over the snowy "Alps" is worth every waiting, this is a ride I will never forget . (I even bought a shirt from it ...)
This inverted coaster is closer to my home than the Raptor, so I see it more often. Very good ride. As always, BG seems to have a great knack for theming the ride, even down to the fake "snow" packed on the side of the ride. Alpengeist cant beat Raptor on its ride, but the concept part of the ride is impeccable...
UPDATE!!! BGW opened its season March 19th this year...and I was there. I had a chance to ride and really critique it much better than the last time. This is STILL an excellent ride...It is holding its value in my book. I have not had a chance to ride front and back seats due to my size, but the ride from the middle is great. I can only suspect that the ride on the ends would be even better. All direction changes are smooth and marry well with the speed of the ride. I still have difficulties with the use of trim brakes in the middle of rides. There is one in the middle of this ride, but it does set up the rest of the run quite well, so no major complaints. It and Raptor are the upper tier in the inverted category.
Good coaster. The first hill is good and the rest is inversions and turns. Its smooth for all that you do. Although the wind got to me in the first seat.
Wohoo! I love this ride. This is my favorite inverted coaster over Raptor, Montu and Top Gun: JC. The height is amazing. The drop even more amazing. This ride is very long, very fast, it has tons of great elements, and never has too long of a line. I rode this 13 times in 1 3/4 at the park. You should ride this ride!
I didnt find Alpengeist to be nearly as intense as Raptor and Batman:The Ride and not quite as much of a thematic event as Montu and Dueling Dragons were. Some of the inversions were too large to feel the typical B&M invert ‘snap’ in the back row, but the size when it came to the drops were very much an advantage. It was a good idea to not have the forces be as strenuous on the riders, so I applaud them there and I think they made a decent attempt at the ride’s theming overall with the colors and faux snow. Truly exciting and reridable anyways.
This is my #1 coaster! This thing is awesome. All coasters should be like this.
