Hmmm, I dont seem to remember any rose bushes or a river on this train ride, as the previous post mentions. What I do remember is an incredibly dinky train that I can only assume was designed with kids (and maybe their families) in mind, which did not travel around Oaks Park per se, but rather around some standard playground/picnic park that is directly adjacent to the amusement park. I visited on Labor Day weekend, so my view was mostly a bunch of people having a barbeque. Im not trying to be completely negative about this train ride--I just know that I missed the point of it, because to me it was pretty pointless.
The C.P. Huntington train, named after a famous Rail Tycoon, is a trip down memory lane. This train dates way back and has been at the park for some time. Its a great relaxation point with beautiful scenary. On the back stretch it rolls past beautiful rose bushes on one side and a view of the Willamette River on the other, simple a gorgeous view. Highly recommended.
