This was my first rock o plane and I found it to be quite fun. Especially, since you get to control the quality of your ride by flipping the compartment as you deem appropriate. A solid ride by any measure.

Rock-O-Planes are an absolute blast. Take an average ordinary ferris wheel and give it the capability to not only rock the seats back and forth but completely flip them upside down, and you have the brilliance that is a Rock-O-Plane. Riders get to use the control bar to lock the cages in any position they want, leading to some awesome inversions. You can lock it in place so you make one large loop around the entire wheel, or you can lock it and release it as you please to find yourself hanging, flipping, and swinging in just about any way imaginable. Dont pass this one by. It was my favorite ride all day at Oaks Park, and one of my all-time favorite carnival-type flat rides.

I enjoy this ride alot, but its kind of hard to get it to flip. . . and I was riding with this manical kid who had an evil glare as he cranked the bar that flips you.

This ride is simply a blast, any way you slice it. It can be fairly mild of you just keep mild tension on the ring, but if you know how to work it, it has got to be close to if not the most intense ride in the park. I have a blast riding it, and I have a blast operating it. Its one of my top 3 to ride and operate in the park. Just make sure you secure that loose change, as it will fall out.

I love Rock-O-Planes, but the one at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is better.
