This little Pretzel gem is well deserving of a 9 rating, if only for its sheer survival capabilities. Its the oldest in existence (with original cars from 1928 - beat that), and gives a fun, eccentric dark ride experience. Nothing jumps out at you during the ride, but the convoluted twists and turns are incredibly disorienting, the vintage sound effects are a real joy (see the laffinthedark article describing these - theyre genius), and the cobwebs never fail to thrill. Its a much rougher, wilder ride than Id expected, with the car tilting heavily at some turns. And, sure enough, I was surprised at how close the cars come to one another, suggesting a head on collision midpoint through the ride. Overall, this little treasure doesnt have the modern day technology most might be used to, but uses its antique methods to great effect. A worthwhile ride for all haunted house lovers, and a genuine pilgrimage point for Pretzel fanatics.

The darkness is the scariest part, although I did jump when the fake cobwebs rubbed across my face. No effects to speak of. The ride is so small I think there are only 3 cars on the track, unfortunately no one else was riding so i didnt get to pass anybody

What a fun spook house! Its one of those haunted pretzel types. Its so dark in there that darkness acts as the walls. Theres a bunch of props that light up and make some noises. The best is when you car passes another, its so weird to see darkness then all of a sudden some people emerge from it. Theres also many loose floorboards that bump the car around and since its so dark it seems that you left the track and are rolling into who knows what!
