Very good set of bumper cars. While the Lusses arent in as good of shape as other parks, I dont mind because they still operate these pinacles of bumper cars. The cars were fast as usual and hit very hard. Also, I got a nice, long cycle filled with plenty of collisions.

Now, if Keansburg could understand what a treasure theyve got in their Lusse Skooters - and thus treat them kindly and respectfully - this could be a ride worthy of lofty status indeed. Gorgeous Lusses of distinguished model and vintage are everywhere...too bad that most of them are piled up in the corners, and - gasp - out in the open weather. We waited about 15 minutes to ride - the line was long, and only 5 cars were operating. This put a real damper on the Skooter experience - most of the time, I was looking for someone to bump. But the old Lusses, banged up and neglected as they were, still showed the old spirit, smacking all bejeezus out of whoever came their way. What was interesting here was the contrast between the older and newer Lusse models - the former with great, intimidating grills and art deco lines, the latter of smaller frame, and modest proportions. Theyre all from the same family, but the generational differences are enormous. In all, I just wish Keansburg had the vision (and money) to restore these beautiful Skooters to their rightful condition. They are great treasures, and deserve to be treated as such.

Unfortunately I dont think all the cars are Lusse Auto Skooters. There were 10-12 cars going around the track and half were the big Lusses, like they have at Knoebels and the other half were smaller and fast. There no junk pile in the corner anymore, although there were a couple of cars not running. These Lusse look to be in bad shape, lots of dents and broken lights. Reminiscent of a demolition derby right down to the fact that most of the cars are decorated. I made sure that I got a Lusse Skooter and banged the hell out of some people. Some of the cars I hit actually got airtime. Sad thing is that outside the arena are about 20 cars that are either retired, resting or being used for spare parts. The operator ran the ride for about 4 minutes and is cost $3 a ride (or you can buy the All Day Wristband)

EDIT: I returned to Keansburg on 7/15 and there are so many cars out of commission that they had only 6 cars running and only two were Lusse Auto Skooters. The ride operator put extra oil out around the turns to make it even easier to spin people out.

These are old scooter bumper cars. Their heavy and the crashes are hard! Plus theres like a broken car ghetto over in one corner thats fun to hit other drivers into lol. I once stopped short right in front of some kid on this and his face was driven right into the steering wheel, now thats an impact! EDIT: After reading the above review I forgot to mention the fact that some are not scooter cars but crappy newer models. But isnt it fun to see what happens when you pit a Lusse Skooter against a smaller bumper car? LOL
