A fine typical pirate ship. Children and adults should both do fine on this ride, which is fairly normal but a good time nevertheless.
Abysmal swinging ship. This one had a huge boat and therefore a high capacity, but this one had a disappointing ride. The boat was very slow and therefore there were son sensations at all during my ride, or even air time. Also, the cycle was outrageously short.
Nice standard swinging ship. This ride pretty much reviews itself. Ok if you have time.
This was one of my first swinging ships, and, after riding a few other swinging ships, I have to admit that this has definitely become my least favorite one. That said, it is still a fairly decent ride. If you are a thrill seeker, MAKE SURE to sit in the very back or as close to it as you can possibly get. While it does not go as high as most other swinging ships do, it still gives me that tickly feeling in my stomach when it reaches the climax of its cycle. I would also reccomend putting your hands up during the side of your ships "swings" in order to experience more of a thrill. I didnt attempt to do this on this swinging ship, but I have on the one in the Family Kingdom Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and it made me feel as though I was going to fly right out of my seat!!!
If you arent really a thrill seeker, then I would highly reccomend sitting in the middle of the ship. I did this once, but I hated it because I didnt feel any tickling in my stomach whatsoever! Overall, this is an average ride.
It wasnt bad. A reasonably sized ship, we sat 5 across. It doesnt go very high, but enough to get some butterflies in my stomach. Not a big thrill, not nearly the best ship Ive been on, but it works on a mild level.
Really fun and you get a lot of butterflys in the gut. It is way too short though... COME ON HERSHEY YOU CAN MAKE IT A LONG RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I felt that I had ridden the exact same ride three times before when I rode this (and I probably have, at Adventureland, Coney Island, and Dorney). Why cant anybody make a more original swinging ship ride?
A standard swinging ship. Nothing spectacular. If you ride it ride in the back seat its more fun when you go backwards. It gives you a nice breeze on a summer day also.
Usually my slogan is "You cant go wrong with the swinging ship." That holds true in most places. If you are having some downtime and dont feel like riding anything, just hop onto the swinging ship and get back into the groove of the day. That is totally not the case with this thing. The ride is way too short and it does not get very high at all. I waited about 20 minutes for this ride and the only good thing about it was that I got to see Storm Runner go over the tophat and into that crazy dive loop a couple dozen times while standing in line. There are a lot of great rides in the park, and I hate to say it, just pass this one up because it is not worth the time and energy. Even on the end, you dont get that funny sinking feeling in your stomach like you usually do for the first two or three swings. Just get to the coasters and the rest of their great flats and forget about this.
I didnt find it as bad as others maybe i was just having a real good day so everything seemed fun.
