It looks nice, but I go on spinning tea cups to spin them and these are some of the most difficult I have experienced. Im sorry but that is a huge thumbs down in my book. Maybe I got the one bad cup, but I didnt have time to retry.
APPEARANCE: Absolutely beautiful. All of the cups were absolutely beautiful and very detailed. Also, the cups were very clean and the building housing the ride looked nice too.
WAIT TIME: Walk On- These Mack tea cups have a very high capacity, meaning for no wait at all. Loading was relatively fast too, which is certainly a plus.
RIDE: Weak. The cycle was decent, as it lasted around 2 minutes. Also the cups move in circles as they rotate around the center, which usually makes these rides more disorienting. However, Tempest traveled very slowly, causing the ride to be rather boring. My main gripe with the ride were the cups, as they are almost impossible to spin. Spinning to my hearts content is my favorite thing to do on spinning rides, and unfortunately I cant on these.
FINAL VERDICT: I have been on two Mack tea cup rides to date (this one and Turkish Delight and Busch Gardens Europe), and neither have provided good rides as the cups were very hard to spin on both. If Funtown can get these cups spinning, I would certainly love this ride. If you enjoy rather tame spinning rides, try this out.
Agreed that this is a BEAUTIFUL ride, the cups are wonderfully painted and kept up. Unfortunatly some cups spin better than others, like any tea cup ride, so if you happen to ride it and find yourself dissapointed, please ride again! FunTowns Teacups are amazing!
This ride, affectionately called "Tempest In The Teacups" by Funtown/Splashtown afficonados, is one of the worst teacup rides. The platform spins very slowly, and there is no apparatus inside the teacups to make it spin a little faster. I would reccomend it for children under age eight.
Good speed on a well kept ride. The cups are amazing, and the floor is painted to match. Neat location, slightly elevated, and a bit of a view of the back end of the park. One of the best bigger rides for children, as it is tucked away, and doesnt attract a lot of teens. Looks awesome at night and nice to be in the shade on hot summer days.
haha i love this ride, everytime we go on it we spin it as fast as we can and someone will always get sick, if you get the one that spins well youll enjoy it
This was a fun ride- very nice for such a small park.
i love the coler skeem on them
This is one of the most beautiful Teacup rides Ive ever seen. Ive known rich people who's china didn't look this good. A must ride. The movement is hard an a few cups, being nearly impossible to spin. Though you will find a few of them work well.
