For me this will always be my family ride. We had one these here in New Orleans. Unfortunately when they closed Pontchartrain Beach they got rid of this classic ride. So when I saw Kennywood had theirs still operating I rode it until I coldnt ride it anymore.

It may be boring to some people, but it think its just adorable. Its weird cause this is the only big version of this ride i have seen. I always been mini ones for kids... makes me feel like a big kid to ride this one

this is a fun old clasic ride but with kennywood putting a non slippery plastic on the seats its not as much fun as it used to be. you no longer slide all over the place and into other riders.

You gotta love great old fashioned flats like this one, one of the last "tumble bugs" anywhere. The Turtle is especially great being placed near Phantoms Revenge and you can see the trains zip by overhead as you ride Turtle. Plus, you always get a really long ride from the ops on this one.

Ok ... Ill be honest, I absolutely LOVED these rides as a kid. Just couldnt get enough of them. However, this one was only mildly fun to me now. Personally, I think it stems from being position between the 2 best coasters in the park (kind of hard to laugh in fun at this while gazing happily at the mighty PHANTOMS REVENGE) and the train on this version is much longer than Im used to (usually 3 "turtles" was about it). Still good fun, and something everyone should do, but dont expect anything overly spectacular.

An excellent piece in the Kennywood collection of classics. Not only does it give a fun long ride, but it also gives a very good view of the Phantoms Revenge.

The Turtle is a prime example of why Kennywood has one of the most unique collections of flat rides anywhere!! I dont know if there are any more of these rides left, but the one at Kennywood is kept in spectacular shape! This ride is extremely fun and you do actually get little pops of air in spots. A superb ride for everyone, and kids will love this ride! A nostalgic gem that adds to the character of Kennywood.

There are not many of these left, but Kennywood keeps theirs in great shape. Think of it as the precurser to the Dragoon kiddie coasters, it goes around in a circle moving up and down the hills on the track. I actually found that the smallest hill gave a great pop of air time.
