Review of Cannon Ball Roller Coaster @ Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park

I think this is my first review on TPC. We went to Lake Winnie the other day as a complete surprise. I hadn't been in years. It is such a classic amusement park. Family owned. A neat midway. It's laid out nicely. Lake Winnie has such a great history. I remember years ago, they used to host concerts featuring some top names. They don't do that anymore. When my mom was in high school, they used to swim in an outdoor pool here. Lake Winnie has had some issues over the past year with safety on some rides. I don't believe anything major and I don't think anyone was hurt. Hopefully just a coincidence and bad luck. Walking up the ramp to ride the Cannon Ball brought me back to my youth. It was a nostalgia rush. As another poster wrote, this ride appears to be very well maintained. There is a little plaque as you go up the ramp that tells the history of the ride. It was interesting to read that Mr. John Allen of Philadelphia Toboggan was the designer. I guess this coaster won't ever make the top of the lists for coaster reviews. But I would say that pound for pound, this out-and-back coaster is one of the best. It is a fun, smooth ride with some good air time. And in one of the most pleasant amusement parks you'll ever visit.
