Drop Tower was my first Intamin drop tower. For years I had always heard that S and S drop towers paled in comparison to the brute intensity of the Intamin models, but until boarding this, I was in the dark. But now I agree wholeheartedly with those sentiments. The drop is breathtaking. While S and S towers give one major burst of air-time at the start of the descent and then coast down the remainder of the tower, this Intamin tower drops you like a rock. Once the drop kicks in, there is generous floater air the entire way down and it is a far more authentic free fall. Drop Tower introduced me to Intamin drop towers and it is easily one of the best attractions at the park. The only thing that hurts it compared to other drop towers is the view. While tall, this one really did not have much to look at.
