Review of Kandus Twister @ Marine Land

Outside of the Sky Screamer and Dragon Mountain, Marineland as a whole was mired in mediocrity. Sure enough, Kandu’s Twister falls into this category. Located perfectly in the back of the park, reaching Kandu’s Twister is a hike to say the least (fortunately only in terms of distance- see Sky Screamer if you want a legit hike). With that being said, was Kandu’s Twister worth the effort to reach? Not particularly. One thing is for sure- I can’t knock the ride’s appearance. Clearly one of the park’s newer attractions, Kandu’s Twister looks great. Instead of having riders ride in tea cups like the norm, Kandu’s Twister sports sleek looking killer whales instead. Then due to the ride’s large capacity, it was fortunately a walk-on. Additionally, Kandu’s Twister had really swift loading which is a definite plus. As for the ride itself, it was a let-down. Not only did the ride platform itself spin really slowly, but the whales themselves were incredibly difficult to spin. As a result, what should have been a really dizzying experience was rather tame and boring experience. At least Kandu’s Twister provided a long cycle and by the end of the ride, I was able to at least get some spinning; however, I had to expend way too much energy to do so. Kandu’s Twister simply put was a rather poor attraction. While it definitely looks visually appealing and possesses a very long cycle, the attraction itself is just a poor example of the typical tea cups attraction. Therefore, unless you have a younger guest with you who would really enjoy this type of attraction, I recommend passing on Kandu’s Twister since it not only is rather boring, but it isn’t in the most convenient location. Times Ridden: 1
