I grew up nearby and have ridden TBF more times than I can remember; in fact one rainy day when everyone assumed all rides were closed, my cousin and I rode it over 20 times in a row. I admit, it is kitschy but it works with the overall country theme of Dollywood and is a great starter "coaster" for kids as someone has said. I haven't ridden it lately (I moved away almost 10 years ago) but it will always be a classic to me. I love the fact that it was hand built by park staff originally (when Dollywood was still Silver Dollar City), too.
