This is a train ride that goes up the mountain and through the park itself while on a real coal burning locomotive. It is a nice relaxing ride and the views are nice (you get a different view of thunderhead). Years ago the train would stop about half way through and they had a western shootout type of show. The lack of that now is why my rating for this is not as high. One thing to watch out for is while riding near the front of the train some soot got on me, I am pretty sure that riding further back would help that situation. This is a Dollywood classic and should not be missed. Overall rating 4.0
