Review of Millennium Force @ Cedar Point

This is, by far, the best ride in the park. Millennium Force is amazing throughout the entire ride. Speeding up the lift hill, you have the choice to look left to Lake Erie, or right to Cedar Point. Both views are amazing. The first drop on Millennium Force is insane. You're looking almost straight down for 300 feet. The speed of this ride is so crazy that I almost blacked out at the base of the first drop. Next up is the 122 degree overbanked turn. The train doesn't seem to let up pace at all as you navigate this element and then fall back to the the ground to turn into a dark tunnel. The train now rises up another hill, where at the top you'll find several seconds of nice floater air-time. By the time you stop floating you're back on the ground. "Millie's" twisting section on its own isolated island consists of two more overbanked turns. Coming out of the twisting section, there is another hill providing good, plentiful floater air. After that hill there's a short straitaway followed by another turn in a tunnel, a nice bunny hop, another straightaway and an overbanked turn onto the brake run. This ride has never dropped below number two in the Golden Ticket Awards for a good reason. Everything about Millennium Force feels just right. There are no jolts or overwhelming G's, just pure smoothness and speed. Just a warning though, Millennium Force riders have been known to be hit with bugs, especially at night.
