 Review of Doctor Dooms Fearfall @ Islands of Adventure

This ride was a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!The air time is okay, but everything else pretty much stunk!The initial luanch gets some excitement but then it slows down immediatly and takes away from the fun and ride experience.Secondly, some people on this site say that this ride has good themeing, and I guess for Islands of Adventures standard it is but compared to Disneys Tower of Terror it doesnt even come close.The ride experience in total is alot better in the Tower of Terror, which truly makes you "Fear every Drop!"

Islands of Adventure has some of the best theming in the world, and while Doctor Doom has some good theming, it is far from the best they can do. But to say that this ride is a huge disappointment is a huge mistake - it may not be as good as Tower of Terror (which I have never ridden, but the general concensus seems to be that this is the case), but its not even the same kind of ride as Tower of Terror, nor does it try to be. They are two different experiences, and if you are going to compare a heavily themed, interactive attraction to more of a typical S&S tower, you are bound to be very disappointed. This seems to be more the fault of the reviewer however, for making such a mistake, than the fault of either ride itself.

Although I think this review is a bit harsh, I can understand where hes coming from. The tower is just a bit too small, which means that the launch will be less powerful, and that there will be less airtime. The theming on it is very good though.

Your rating is rather low, and the comment about "IOAs standard" is harsh, but other than that I agree with you. Doom isnt even in the same league as Tower of Terror, and the theming is subpar for IOA. The whole attraction is, actually. However, I still enjoy it quite a bit.

Thanks guys, you sum up my position almost better than I did myself. It seems to me that his position is actually fairly accurate, but that his rating is too low, and shots at IoA are a bit cheap. Id say hes a Disney fanboy, but if he is, he cant be too much, because, to his credit, he does have some IoA rides in his Top 10.
