I hate drop rides. They scare the crap out of me. I love the Twilight Zone and anything dark and scary. Entered this with immense trepidation, distracted somewhat by the loud, insipid conversation and rough teasing of the 16 year olds behind me about whether one of the group was lesbian, as if that was a bad thing. Ahh, the diversity of American culture. The bunch behaved themselves on the ride though. As for the ride, to be honest I really cant detail what happened and what movements occured, except that it was fantastic. The set-up and theming were one-of-a-kind, worthy of awards, absolutely magnificent. It wasnt just some Pointless drop tower, it was an entire story and stroll through the halls and past of a haunted hotel with nice effects (kinda reminded me of the story behind the tv vampire Angels hotel in LA). Upon finally entering the drop area, there was no way to predict when or how far the drop would be. We all waited nervously, for a few moments united as one very edgy group of potential victims or potential survivors. Then the drop, return, and second drop. WOW! The bunny hops going further down didnt do much, but at that point everyone was breathless. This was not a ride that the guys tried to play tough and untouchable on - we were all joyously dazed and hysterically laughing. Not sure if this will get me to try other drop rides, but it will certainly get me to the park early and to use Fast Pass as many times as possible! Absolutely perfect and totally unique! "Its not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be . . at ten. Youre on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, youre on ten . . . . Where can you go from there? Where?" ELEVEN!
