This is an absolutely wonderful little carousel. A 1924 Spillman, with a beautifully-tuned Wurlitzer 146B band organ. I was delighted by this machine, and the fact that its run well, and for a long cycle. Wonderfully restored and maintained, its a real joy - another jewel in the crown of Pennsylvania carousels.

Thanks for the insightful review. Although Ive never road this one, I trust your judgement and accordingly expect that the rating for this machine will go up overtime. How does the quality of the Wurlitzer stand up to the one at Lake Compounce?

You know, its been some time since listening to the organ at Compounce - from what I recall, Id say that this organ might be a touch finer than LCs, in terms of sound. This one was beautifully tuned, with a very nicely-kept facade. I never cared terribly for the exposed-wood facade on LCs Wurlitzer 153 - but that really has absolutely nothing to do with sound, anyhow...
