El Toro is one of the best wooden roller coasters I have ever been on. First thing I noticed was the smoothness of the ride as it pulled out of the station. El Toro had to be one of the smoothest wooden coasters Ive been on so far, and being a smooth wooden coaster is a good thing in my opinion. Then it was up the lift hill, which was extremely fast. It didnt provide too much time to enjoy the view on this lift. Then it was down the first hill. Very high and steep for a wooden coaster. Then up over the next few hills. Great air-time. And just when you think El Toros out and back design is just about over, it starts twisting around in tight curves close to the ground for a final kick before returning to the station. I would have loved for this to be longer, but Id love all great coasters to be longer. Like I said before, its one of the best Ive been on. Its up there on the list with Coney Islands Cyclone, Dollywoods Thunderhead, and the Dania Beach Hurricane...
