Kumba! The coaster that is responsible for Busch Gardens on the map for having amazing coasters and is worth a trip over to tampa to experience. The first thing that catches my attention is the loud "roar" it produces. I mean, I could here it all the way from the Nairobi section of the park...I can see where it gets its name. Not much theming here though, the color of the coaster fits nicely with the jungle congo area. The coaster itself is a B&M masterpiece. I love how the 114 ft loop goes over the lift hill. Going under the bridge to the cobra roll is a nice element added to the ride. The dive loop- another nice touch and of course my favorite, the interlocking corkscrews. The end of the ride ends going through a little dark cave and a nice helix. Kumba is an awesome rollercoaster, the only downside is, over the years it seems like Kumba has been getting a little rough over the years. Not Phyton rough but just a little rough. Overall, Kumba is a great coaster, it hardly ever has a line, and it is not to be missed when your at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
