Review of Superman: Ultimate Flight @ Six Flags Great Adventure

Tatsu at SFMM was my very first B&M flying coaster experience, so it is going to be very hard for anything else to measure up. Having said that, I can add that I was still completely content with Superman. True, it is not as long or tall, but I do think it delivered a very enjoyable ride of its own. Unlike with Tatsu, where the pretzel loop comes at the end of the ride, this wonderful element begins Supermans flight. It is a very intense, very exciting inversion. After that, the coaster just sort of swoops around for a while. Even though lots of reviews complain about the lack of action here, I found it to be very pleasant and almost relaxing. Maybe thats not the sensation a coaster is designed to deliver, but I went with it. The setting is rather interesting too. The queue line borders a large, perfectly manicured lawn/park area, and the ride takes place directly above this. A nice tranquil location for a nice tranquil coaster.
