I never thought Id be giving a swinging ship ride a 10, and I also would never have thought that a swinging ship would be my second favorite attraction at a theme park (it beat everything else here except for the Comet). So what made it so special? For starters, there was no one in line, so the ride operator let us ride over and over without getting off. Now, normally this is not something Id feel the need to do. It was a different story here though. Sitting in the back seat of this pirate ship, I felt more height, angle, and airtime than on any other pirate ship that Ive ever ridden. And I really want to stress the airtime. The lap bar doesnt come anywhere near your body, and each time you crest the top you completely float out of your seat. It was absolutely unparalleled, so much so that a couple times I had to consciously tell myself to be careful or else I could totally come out of the thing. An absolute blast, and I rode again and again.
