The Balloon Race is another great flat ride at Knoebels thats run better than most rides of this type. Located towards the front of the park, the Balloon Race looks great with the multi-colored balloons soaring around. Next to Power Surge, the Balloon Race is an excellent family ride. There are 8 balloons (I think) each seating up to 4 people. 2 face forwards and 2 face backwards. With a good capacity, the Balloon Race generally is a walk-on. I enjoy riding backwards the best because of the sensation, but both ways are fun. Restrained by a seatbelt, Balloon Race loads quickly. Once the ride begins, Balloon Race starts spinning and elevates off the ground and tilts slightly. You spin around not too quickly, but you get a good breeze and it was more disorienting than I thought it would be. Knoebels gave a long cycle for the Balloon Race. Overall, a fun flat ride that entire families can enjoy. I highly recommend the Balloon Race for anyone who enjoys Balloon Races or spinning rides.
