The Wonder Wheel takes the cake as perhaps the most interesting ride I have ever been on. As Im sure just about everybody here knows, its a Ferris Wheel, but with one major change - all the cars on the inside are on wheels in tracks, which mean that as the wheel reaches certain points, the cars will slide and swing. Now, as someone who doesnt really like heights, this contraption is terrifying. Great views and great fun aside, its rather nerve-wracking to be 100 feet in the air, and then all of a sudden slide forward towards the end of the wheel, with all apparent intention of flying off, only to stop just in time and swing back and forth...yeah, its a heckuva time. Aside from the ride itself, it is also very aesthetically beautiful and has a lot of history to it, like the Cyclone, that serve to further enhance the experience. Definitely a unique ride, and not to be missed by those that are coming to Coney just to ride the Cyclone.
