 Review of Top Thrill Dragster @ Cedar Point

Top Thrill Dragster leaves Kingda Ka sprawling in the dust, in my opinion. However, I really dont have much inspiration to write a very long review on this coaster. Suffice to say, it is an extremely fun experience and should not be missed. My single ride on this thing was at 10:30 at night, front row, after waiting an hour and a half. Despite the bugs plastered on my face, hair, shirt, and more than likely down my throat and into my stomach, it was worth every second of the wait and was probably one of the greatest experiences of my life. However, once again...there just isnt enough to the ride to honor it with a spot in my Top 10

In the front seat, there is no difference between these two rides except on TTD you get pelted with bugs. So, why does it leave KK in the dust?

ferg, i commend you on being zen enough to realize that being pelted with insects at 120 mph can sometimes be a spiritual experience. i will now pray for lives of each of those little creatures lost, because they died honorably, ushering you on your trip to a higher plane of being.

hrrytraver, that post cracked me up and even topped the hilarity of the Anonymous post that follows yours LOL And Pete, Top Thrill Dragsters theming was more appealing to me, the lapbar added to the feeling of liberation in a sense, and the ride was definitely a whole lot smoother than Kingda Ka. And even the structure of TTD emits this feeling of "Im more bad-ass than anything else on earth." In contrast, Kingda Ka says "Im a slightly taller version of the true bad-ass in Sandusky with only a lame, speed-killing bunny-hill void of airtime as an excuse to even exist."

ugh, how does this beat the kingda ka? Last I checked, theyre the same ride, just ones update. bigger, taller, faster, and has an added hill. Funny how TTD fans are so defensive and wont admit the Kingda Ka beats their old ride. Wheres the Xcelerator hold outs?
