Review of Wild Cat @ Hersheypark
2 Rating Posted by: dantheman2 on 8/7/2006 6:00:00 PM
This was a REALLY GOOD roller coaster, AND it was the first "real" roller coaster that I had ever ridden, excluding kiddie coasters, Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom coasters, and "wild mouse" coasters. Almost everything about it was perfect. The drops were of decent heights AND the speed was great! Now, notice that I said ALMOST everything about it was perfect... The one major negative thing about the Wild Cat is that it is WAAAAAAY too bumpy! I almost banged my head into my friend several times while riding this coaster! While the roughness does make the coaster a bit uncomfortable, I was still able to enjoy the ride the two times that I went on it. If you have ANY kind of neck or back problems, DO NOT RIDE THIS RIDE!!! I hope that Hershey Park replaces the cars on this coaster soon before it starts to severely injure people...

Good review, but Ill give you one advice for dealing with Wildcats roughness (which I dont believes that much of a problem). If you lean a lil bit forward from your seat throughout the whole ride, it wont hurt your back at all or as much & youll have a more enjoyable ride. I started doing that this year & it really works. My rides on the Wildcat has been a lot of better & it made me change my opinions completely about the first GCI project. Try that tip out the next time you go to Hersheypark & I guarantee you that youll love Wildcat more. Keep on coaster riding man!

Thanks for the advice! The roughness wasnt too much of a problem for me, but it did get kind of annoying after a while. Ill definitely try that out the next time that I go to Hershey.

I think they shoud try to find better trains because these cant handle the turns at all!
