 Review of Great Movie Ride, The @ Disney-MGM Studios

Although slightly outdated, its still a great ride, and definately one of a kind. Some of the movies are now irrelevant - like Tarzan - who cares? But they should never get rid of this ride, only change a few of the scenes. The ride experience also depends on how good your guide and cowboy/gangster is, but with good ones, its a lot of fun, as well as a nice long ride to get out of the sun for a while.

I agree that your ride experience depends on your guide/cowboy is. Last time I went on this ride, the cowboy was fine (actually it was a cowgirl for me). But the ride stopped suddenly and the ride vehicles got backed up. We were waiting to see the movie at the end and while we were waiting our guide started singing follow the yellow brick road. Ugh!!!! Anyway he was boring and acted like he didnt want to be there anyway. everytime I go though I still remember what the cowboy/girl says in the Alien segment. "Whoo wee! Look at that ugly thing!"

I really do not like the horror movies. MGM really had very little success in that genre. That section would be better served by adding a more recognizable classic. Which one? Take your pick there are many.
