By "closed" he means defunct. Its been removed permanently from the park.

Not true, it was always open when I went. One of the handful of newer flats that were open. I never understood that; they would have the newer flatrides closed but the old decrepit ones running all the darn time. I mean Space Shuttle is making a comback now!
