 Review of Boulder Dash @ Lake Compounce

Im a native of Connecticut, but I only visit The Lake on a yearly basis. I first rode Boulder Dash in 2001 as my first BIG coaster, and it is still one of my favorites out there. I last rode it in 05, and it has gotten rougher. However, this Connecticut gem still deserves a 10/10 for its usually short lines, quick dispatches, and incredible ride.

Welcome to the site. I know that a number of the parks that have CCI coasters have noticed an increase in roughness on the coasters after a few years. many for the coasters have been re tracked already. I know that LC re-profiled the back turn do to roughness and is always watching for problems.

I have also noticed that the coaster is getting a bit rougher. I believe that LC worked on the first drop over last winter and the back turn around 2 winters ago.

Yes it was 2 winters ago. it was talked about allot durign the Back stage tour.

Llama is not kidding. I was on BD yesterday, first time in 2 years, and yowza! Very noticeably rougher. One of the early turns is like a karate chop to the head. Lets hope LC can do something about this cause Boulder Dash simply wasnt the same ride.

The park is dedicated to keeping BD up. Unfortuanatly this is a broblem with nearly all of CCI coaster. THey are slightly miss disigned and great badly rough over a few eyars. lets hope this dosnt hapon with Gravity group, S&S, ect that came out of the CCI comapny.
