 Review of Magnum XL-200 @ Cedar Point

Wow, what an excellent coaster! Rode in the suggested "airtime" spot in the train, and boy did it deliver! Nice to recieve airtime on this beast, exactly where Millenium Force lacks deliverance. Also, what a blast to have rain hitting you in the face, and hard! Tunnels add a nice touch, as does the lift that never seems to end. The historical value must also be appreciated, and one must be reminded that no, it is not "Canada" that is visable, rather a Canadian island on Lake Erie I do believe. :;

Solid review sfo1 & welcome back man. I really missed you because youre one of the long departing TPC users that I really have a lot of respect for. Magnums a truly amazing Arrow hyper that shouldnt be overshadowed by its taller & faster brethrens Millennium Force & Top Thrill Dragster. I really think that Maggie has way more airtime than MF & I cant say if it has more than TTD since I didnt ride TTD. If you want to know why, check out my long extensive Cedar Point TR. Magnums history & overall ride experience will be tough to beat even towards the near future because it was the worlds first 200 foot hypercoaster back in 1989, the same year I was born. By the way, my birthdays today & I turned 17 years old.

Happy b-day man! Thanks for the feedback and the welcome back.

I, sadly, didnt get the oppurtunity to ride the 420 ft. beast either. I was on a field trip, actually, and the park closed at 8. TTD opened after a day of closure at around 6:30. My group and I, riding CCMR, saw the first launch, and were itching to get off the lame rattler and head for the strip! After a few rollbacks, weather delays, and other mechanical issues permitting us from a ride, it was quickly approaching 8. Being only several people from the oppurtunity to get on, we called our band instructor from our friends cell, begging him if we could be late. He replied "Oh, thats fine, as long as your to the bus by 8:15." Well, at 8:25, we were only one train away from a ride! However, our band director called us back, informing us we were holding up 70 other band members in the parking lot. So, sprinting down the midway, we were depressed about missing the signature ride, but were happy to have a fun day nonetheless.

Oh, and when we arrived at the bus 20 minutes late, everyone wanted to kill us. hehe.
