I cant tell you how many times Ive ridden this ride! I go to this park every summer on very hot days, and the line for this ride goes down to the Pirate Ship (and thats a long wait)! There are many good points about this ride. The drops are fairly steep and give you a refreshing drench of cold water. The best part about it is that it has more than one drop. Usually, rides like that at small parks like Adventureland only have one small drop, but not for Adventure Falls. This thing has the manditory one small drop, but it follows that up with a much steeper, much more refreshing drop. But, of course, everything has its downsides. First of all, whats with the themeing? Sure, its supposed to be slightly themed to some sort of pirate thing, but if you look around at the turnaround before the first drop, you will see an elephant, that is not only not faceing you, but has a gaping hole on its rear end! The elephant and the speakers that tell you to keep your hands inside the boat are about the only themeing on the ride besides the columns of wood that are covered in gum. Also (and I mention this every time I ride this), why is there no water at the top of the second drop. There is just some industrial wiring and tires blalantly out in the open for all to see! Another thing is that the boat nearly comes to a screeching (I mean that literally) halt at the top of the drop. The first time I rode this I was afraid that I was going to have to get out and push it through the turnaround! Well, its Long Islands first log flume, and you should definitly ride it if you are at the park!
