Review of Flight of Fear @ Kings Dominion

Totally awesome. Launched into darkness and you get the stomach churning feeling approximately 5 seconds after the launch. This is while in darkness too. Then I cant tell you what happens but I will say its very intense and fun. When I watch Jokers Jinx on video Im like "what? that looks boring". But Flight of Fears theme and setting makes it a fabulously fun coaster. Theline to the coaster is cool and nicely themed too which is good if you have to wait. It sucks so bad its not here anymore. Such an awesome one of a kind coaster experience.

D3ath Cab - There are plans for a retheme. It is rumored to be an MTV theme.

Whatever it is, if they keep it pretty dark in there. Its always gonna be awesome.

MTV!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

When is it rumored to open?

^Yeah, havent you heard about the Soundwave idea? Its pretty retarded, I must admit, so Kings Dominion will likely go for it on that premise alone... Basically you could compare it to Rock n Roller Coaster, only with crappier music...

Dont listen to fergusonat, just read his posts on Kings Dominion, he always has something to say negative about the place and always blames it on the place and not the attractions. Soundwave or not, its a fun ride nonetheless as long as they keep it dark.

^Thanks a lot man, Im glad to hear I am gaining a natorious reputation as a PKD-hater. I blame it on the place and not the attractions? As in, I blame the management and not the individual rides? And I am at fault for this? You cant really blame Italian Job the ride for sucking...its the boneheads who decided to name it 5 different things before "settling" on a name and then displaying it as something completely different on the RIDE ITSELF! In my mind, the only thing that will heal Kings Dominion is a compeltely different corportate management, which it will soon get hopefully. But again, I am pleased with my reputation and thanks for bringing it up!

Well, personally, Im more interested in peoples opinions who have no bias whatsoever than someone who has bias against a certain park, thats just me.
fergusonat on 5/17/2006 10:49:27 PM said:
What about people with bias towards a park by ignoring obvious flaws?
Fedor on 5/17/2006 10:55:02 PM said:
That means they like the park. Cool by me, I like reading people enjoying parks they like. I have no need to care about "oh, youre so biased towards that park" because it just means they like it and couldnt care less about meaningless flaws. Being all negative about a theme park though, why do you get that way? Its just kinda sad. And actually getting annoyed that people like Cedar Point or something a lot. Who cares? Whats with this defending and standing up for parks thing with you anyway?

1) Personally I find announcing a ride as one name, advertising it as another, and then stamping it with something completely different on the ride itself is far from a meaningless flaw.

2) I am only negative about PKD, which in my opinion is a true hell-hole of a park whose only hope is completely new management

3)Cedar Point might be a great park, but 13 year-olds who come onto this site and say that the only good ride is Millennium Force annoy me as all hell.

4)Yes, I am sad. I lost respect for my homepark, and I honestly deeply feel horrible about it, but the park just plain sucks anymore. I cant help it. I guess if you want to go on ignoring the dead flowers, paying absurd prices for chicken fingers, smelling asphalt stench, never knowing what the hell the name of the new attraction is going to be the next time you go to the park, and skipping rides because of breakdowns....be my freaking guest.

ferg is not biased towards the park. It is his home park and does not agree with some of the things that management does and he expresses his feelings. He cant help it if he doesnt like the place that much. Hell, I havent even been to the park and I can see where he is coming from just looking from the outside. I have heard more than enough horror stories from that place and looking into the management practices there with the attraction choices, PKD is one of the lowest parks on my list to hit.

"Always blames it on the place and not the attractions." ??? Arent the attractions inside the park? Arent the people running the park the ones that are putting in and running the attractions? I didnt know that the attractions designed and built themselves! That is news to me!

I am kind of in the same boat, well, sea as ferg here. I have lost a little bit of respect for my home park also. I dont like how things are done there sometimes and I speak my mind on the place when I see fit. However, I still love the place and that wont die. Fedor, I think you just need to watch your mouth.
Fedor on 5/18/2006 4:48:13 PM said:
Yeah, and what can you do if I dont watch my mouth kid? LOL. Bye
Hercules on 5/18/2006 4:52:16 PM said:
Nothing. You are just another immature internet geek that thinks that his opinion is the truth and constantly bad mouths people because they arent saying what you want them to say. And... Kid? HA. Give me a break... kid. LOL

Lol, well thanks for sticking up for me, Herc...Go people who have lost faith in their home parks!
