Review of Cedar Creek Cannonball @ Dorney Park

For some reason I now feel compelled to review this C.P. Huntington replica train. This train was an addition to the park after the Cedar Fair buyout and is the second train in the park. It was at first used as transportation, connecting the short distance between this part of the park to the second entrance to Wildwater Kingdom near the Thunder Canyon rapid ride. The second station was taken out in 2001 when Talon was built making this a "scenic" and relaxing locomotive ride. I say "scenic" because it is not really that great of a surrounding area to look at. It goes past Thunder Canyon and a few other rides and such, but does not offer anything other than man made rocks to look at. It is relaxing, but does not really serve any kind of a purpose anymore. To tell you the truth, it really did not serve that much of a purpose when it was a method of transportation to Wildwater Kingdom because it is not that far of a walk at all from point to point. Overall, this is a pathetic excuse for a train. The ride is not that enjoyable and has no nostalgic relevance. There is really no point in having two trains in the park like this anyway. The ride is at least decent when they turn it into a spooky train ride for Halloweekends, but it is a waste. Head over to the Zephyr for a good train. And if anyone could let me know, what the heck is the reason for two trains? It still baffles me.
