This was a beautiful antique carousel. The Carousel was built in 1916 by the Allan Herschell company, and was actually the first carsousel built in the factory that it now resides in (which is now the Herschell Museum). Sitting three abreast, this carousel featured exquisite carvings from the figures to the exterior of the structure. The ride was pleasant and housed inside of an octagon-shaped addition to the factory. The factory itself was a great place to stop by, and this great ride just added to it. There were some setbacks, however, which is why the ride only gets a 9. First, the band organ was under restoration at the time that I rode, so the music wasnt what I had hoped for. Also, there was no brass ring catch, and of all places I thought they would have one. Ill only lower the score a point though since I know that the organ was only missing temporarily. Anyways, overall, this was still a beautiful carousel and worthy of your time, and a mere $5 admission plus $.50 or $1 for rerides
