I am absolutely baffled by the ratings for the Canobie rides. This is the second best ride in the park IMO but it is ranked 25th. Riders prefer the swinging ship to this? Whatever I think they put drugs in the powdered sugar on the fried dough. APPEARANCE-10 The theming is awesome how it works with the great Boston area and the details and murals they added to the ride. They even have an east india trading company reference. CAPACITY-8 One of my shortest waits at Canobie which had some of the slowest lines I have ever seen. RIDE QUALITY-8 For this type of ride it had great quality though I must disagree with the person who kind of slammed Hersheys since that drop and splash is pure craziness. FUN-9 This along with Cannonball really improved my day. RERIDE-9 At this park with its mild thrills and short flats it is almost a no brainer. OVERALL-44 AVG-8.8 I am not a fan of these rides but this one is a top notch experience. A solid 9 from me.

Good review. the low ratign is do to a few ratings 4 years ago. look back. you had posters givign it 3,4,5, saying it was short and point less. things along those lines. Basicly those few reviews killed all the remainign ratings of 8,9,10. its a shame two it deserves a better rating.

It does deserve a higher rating it is an excellent version of this ride. However many other rides on that list have been way to influenced by local reviewers

Put me down why dont you. anyways Some of the ones ahead of it I am the only one that has reviews it and I am one why things canobies shows are amazingly good so I gave them high ratings. as other rate them Im sure it will level out. also Kosmo jets are ahead of it on the list and they are gone. the tred is locked but not removed. I think most of it have to do with the hand full of hate ratings and mor eonhest ratings onthe other rides.

Glad you noticed that comment was directed at you because I feel you have way too much bias toward this park. Now that is your perogrative and I know you really like it there but some of your 9 and 10s are just rediculous. I love hershey but I dodnt give the boomerang a ten just cause its at hershey. Home town parking can be worth a point or two but no way did corkscrew deserve a nine.

I look at many things when I rate a coaster. wait time, Look, upkeep, Domanince, How the ride works with a park, etc. Look at my GE ratings. I gave Stemin Demon an 8 and Nightmare a 9. They arnt in my home park. Look at my SFNE ratings. Double trouble I gave an 8. most every one else gave it 1 and 2. Maybe my lower ratings at sy SFNE is less because o fmy love for canobie and more do to rideing after while anoyed at things I see haponing at the park.

Look like I said it is your perogrative to rate however you want but like I said on a different comment you gave Canobie 22 tens and 14 nines. No place is that good.

I gave allot of tens to Disney and to SFOG. maybe its the fact Im not rushed and having a better time. I can injoy the rides more. in Im mad about somthing like a long wait or what should be a short wait maid a long wait by the Q-Bot Sytem Its hard to find anything at the park great.

You are missing the point(which is not a big surprise.) You gave 56% of Canobie rides a ten, or 92% a nine or ten. IMO that is just way to bias to take any of your Canobie reviews seriously. That only bothers me since you are by far and away the expert on that park. For example if you came to Michigans Adventure and were on a limited time budget my reviews could definately help you prioritize your day. Your reviews present me with the belief that I need a season pass to be able to experience the unbridled joy of the Canobie Corkscrew.

Ill make you this promes next time I go I will reride every ride in the park. I will them rerate them when they arent the new thing at the park like I had done. now that Im not byest by its newnes. I did change allot of review at SFNE and will do more today but Jocker wil drop.

Like I said do what you like on this and they would definately take a lot of time to reride the rides. Why can I ask do you keep bringing up just SFNE since that is the one larger park out there I have not went to.

Giving 90% of all of the rides at a park does not help the sites main cause, which is to inform the masses of pros and cons of a ride. If someone were to read MRCs Canobie reviews, then they may get the impression that Canobie Lake is the greatest park on earth and they may plan a trip there, whether or not thats true. Its all about what is good for the site, and quite frankly, 56% 10s and 92% 9 or 10 is not very productive for the site.

FTPC why are you always worried about what I do. MRC does drive me crazy, however he also brings in tons of news and has a good, if somewhat biased, view of things. Also MRC is a big boy and can more than handle himself in discussions. If I ever got really personal which I have not in these reviews then I know the mods would step in. For now we are having a discussion about the merits of reviewing which is really what this site is based on. So like you said of TaylorB why arent you in the forums.

You mention that Im biused against SFI. but out of the 4 SFI propertys I have rated SFNE is the only one with many bad ratings. look at the SFGAdv, SFOG, and TGE reviews and you woudl see I think very highy of there rides also givign them allot of 8-10s. since you thing Im biused tords sf I figured you were referign to my SFNE ratings that wee low. Was i wrong by thinking that?

Actually I could care less about what you do. at least your not hear to give a bunch of good rides 1s and never show up again. nor are you hear to start fights.

Lets see ftpc how exactly did this conversation include you? Oh yea when you jumped in and worried about MRC. The reason I brought up the 3 review thing(I am not speaking for them) is because you were in a discussion about a show you have never seen. So I figured if you had that much extra time you could write some reviews. I saw you have read several and found them to be pretty good. But again I ask why did you feel it neccesary to get involved with this discussion. Yes I am calling MRC biased toward his home park its not like I am insulting his family or threating him. So again I believe MRC can handle himself.

Actually I though I really only brought up that you get onSFI for poor capacity and I found that to be true on several rides at Canobie. As far as any of your SFI reviews I have only seen a few and I was basing my statemnt about SFI based on your response in some forums. Look bottom line we really disagree about how many 10s you gave your home park, thats not a really big deal in life and all I am saying is a massive amount of tens is just a skewing to the ratings of rides as people who just give ones.

Im going to be writign the tr of my last SFNE trip. in it I will post some things I dont like and capacity ishues at SFNE have more to do with employees and not the rides. such at Batman last Sunday. I will explain more in the TR>

I really could careless what you guys think about this ride and park since I have never been there. But I thought I would come in, state an opinion about a ride I have never been on, and butt into everyone elses arguements, because that is what I am known for!:-) I love how some of us get brought up into arguements we are not even involved in.

Figment are you refering to FTPC up there? You mean you dont have an idea what you would give this review just based on pictures. Man what type of reviewer are you if you cant have your mind made up before you try it.

Keep up that solid work figment! anyways your right you shouldnt be draged in to conversations you were never in.

I never noticed this review got one of my few bad rankings. Gee if only I would have put more details.

I cant see why. Its a solid review. I cant see anything to justify saying its a bad review.

My guess is that FTPC gave you the bad review. He was banned for doing that.

FTPC was my boy how could he have been so chilidish. What a tool he was.
