Disney has combined their stellar theming with an intense ride to create a sheer masterpiece. As you walk to the elevator, you’ll notice stunning detail inside of the hotel (cobwebs on a lamp, old newspapers on tables). This theming makes the ride seem a lot scarier than a standard drop ride should be. Once you are strapped in to your elevator cart and the doors slam shut, you realize that there’s no way out. The anticipation builds as the elevator rises up and moves forward. Your pulse rises as you wait to suddenly drop. Once that happens, you get some great airtime because you are only kept in your seat by a single lapbar. After riding an S&S Tower I realize how wonderful it is not to have your airtime obstructed by OTSRs (as previous reviewers have stated). You’re not sure how high you really are as you rise and fall at unexpected intervals. The Tower of Terror is one of the best attractions available to ride in the entire Disney World complex.
